West Wings Models. Designed along the same lines as the Aerographics models, West Wings actually kit Aerographics models for us. Their own range of small scale models, while smaller than Aerographic's, compliments the Aerographics range with more unusual designs. The West Wings range also includes some sport flyers and well as scale models.

An Electric Ducted Fan Scale Model of the classic British 1950's jet aircraft

• Kit Contains: CNC Cut components for accurate & quick building
• All strip & sheet wood, plan and building instructions
• Full decals for 74 Sqadron, Royal Air Force
• Moulded parts simplify construction and include forward fuselage, canopy, intake ducting, exit nozzle, air brake and other details.

Primarily designed for the WeMoTec Mini-Fan 480 and cobalt motor. Other types of fan of similar size can be used, but must be capable of delivering similar thrust. The model is very fast with a cobalt motor and would beeven faster with a brushless motor.

3 function, Mini R/c equipment, micro not essential, 9 gram servos can be used throughout.
Speed controller must be suitable for the chosen motor's electrical characteristics.

Prototype model has been flown using 10 x Sanyo 1700 (4/5SC) NiCad pack and 10 x Kan 2000 (4/5SC) Ni-Mh pack. Both give similar flight performance

Flying time: NiCad cell, approx 4 mins & Ni-Mh cells, approx, 5 mins.

This kit is designed for experienced buiklders and fliers.
The wings of the model are true-scale outline. The tail plane has been increased in area (not linear scale) by 10%.
The model is intended to be bungee (catapult) launched; it is not suitable for hand launching.
