Here's a selection of books for the enthusiast, beginners and experts alike.

Frank Zaic's Yearbooks.

This man was incredible. The first book is dated 1927 to 34, which is a compilation of articles, plans, ads and drawings from the American boy magazine of that period. Frank's first single year book is dated 1934, and he is still modelling! These books are filled with years and years of experience, loads of different designs from simple power, through rubber to indoor. A fascinating look back at 80 years of Aeromodelling. If your an experienced flyer or a complete novice, these books are invaluable!

Bill Hannan.

Another master of the genre, a little younger that Frank. Bill specialises in scale, mostly small scale such as Pistachio, (8 inch span) and peanut, (13 inch span or 9 inch length).

His original book, Peanut Power is not currently in print although we hope another re print will not be too long coming. Following the success of PP, Bill devised the format for which he is most famous in the small scale fraternity. Peanut & Pistachios Volume One. A new format much in the way of a club magazine. Photos of models, modellers, how things were made and a selection of full sized plans. Volume one was so successful that it was followed over the years by volumes two to six.

At the same time as P&P were being produced Bill turned his attention to different ways of making models. High scale aficionados like documentation so Bill Produced Plans and 3 Views Volume one, followed a few years later by volume two.

To continue in the same theme as both of the above but with a slight difference, Bill wrote Stick and Tissue volume one, (currently unavailable) followed by volumes two and three. Bills latest efforts have been Modellers and Models volumes one and two, and Models and Methods volume one.

Various pictures are shown together with current prices.

We have to own up to a collaboration on this book. Original article and pictures appeared years ago, but the information of how to go about building and finishing a model is so clearly presented that it seemed a shame that is was not still available.
