Beginners Section

On this page we show you a selection, by no means all, of models that fly indoors.

Most of these models are not suitable for flying outdoors except on very calm dry evenings. We don't have room to go into full descriptions of each model so we have made a code to identify the minimum size of space a particular type of model will need to fly in.

Obviously, any model will fly in any spaces larger than quoted.

The Code. LR = Your own front room or a space about 10ft (3 mtr) square.

*ScH = An average si school hall.

SpH = A sports & leisure centre size of hall, about 28 to 30 feet high, 30 feet wide and 60 - 100 feet long.

LSpH = A full size sports & leisure centre hall, same height and length as above but perhaps 60 - 90 feet wide. Baseball arenas, Airship Sheds, Aircraft Hangers etc.

OT = Outside
